International Whey Conference agenda includes research on whey proteins and its efficacy on malnourished and vulnerable populations
International Whey Conference agenda set
An outstanding lineup of whey experts will speak at the 6th International Whey Conference (IWC) in Chicago, Sept. 18-21. Titled “The Power of Whey: Natural, Nutritious, Functional,” the conference (co-sponsored by USDEC) will present the latest research on whey proteins in health and nutrition, including
- The efficacy of whey proteins for malnourished and vulnerable populations, and
- The beneficial effects of whey for malnourished children and adults with HIV and AIDS in low income countries (presented by Dr. Kim Michaelsen from the University of Copenhagen)
The conference will also look at whey protein applications, discuss ongoing research needs, and provide “demonstration stations” where attendees can experience whey and whey product applications and functional properties “up close and personal.” For more details, go to the IWC website at www.iwc-2011.org.
